The original question was how to combine two bedrooms as a sleeping and living space for a young adult with a physical disability. After consultation and inspection of the floor plan of the house, the advice was given to reconfigure and renovate the laundry room. A sitting bath tub and a washbasin was added to this space. In addition, an extra doorway was made to the original study / office. This office is now used as a sleeping – living space. As a result the daughter has access to all the necessary facilities on the ground floor. She is also more connected to family life than she would have been with two combined bedrooms on the first floor.
